III. Relic Combat Application: Bosses are No Longer a Nightmare!

Properly equipped Relics can multiply your power against tough Bosses!

General Approach:

  • Analyze the Boss: Understand if the Boss uses single-target burst, AoE damage, or has special mechanics (like high healing, shield ignore, or lots of crowd control).
  • Adjust Your Core Strategy:
    • Boss hits hard, your team can’t survive? Equip Steel Barrier Set or Twilight Guard Set on your front-liners. Give your supports Life Spring Set or Phoenix Rebirth Set. Survival is key to dealing damage.
    • Boss is too tanky, can’t burst down? Equip Titan Rage Set or Dawn Break Set on your damage dealers. Pair them with defense-reducing or damage-boosting supports (like Lin), and utilize elemental advantages.
    • Boss has high healing, HP won’t drop? Consider equipping your damage dealers with Dark Healing Restraint Set, or bring heroes like Lee (Dark S-tier Debuff Pastor) or Liuwen (Water A-tier Healing Reduction Ranger) who can lower enemy healing.
    • Boss uses too much crowd control, your team can’t act? Consider Relic sub-stats that increase Effect Resist, or use heroes like Emma (Wind S-tier Control Warrior) with crowd control skills to disrupt the Boss’s rhythm.

Practical Examples: Relic Adjustments for Specific Bosses

  • If you’re facing a High-Evasion Boss:
    • Flame Dragon (Fire A-tier Aura Warrior) has a passive that increases team Hit Rate and a skill that lowers enemy Evasion, making him a great choice.
    • For damage dealers, prioritize Hit Rate on Relic sub-stats to ensure your skills land.
  • If you’re facing a High-Shield Boss (like those countered by YangJian):
    • Bring YangJian (Light S-tier Damage Mage). His skill ignores shields, effectively breaking through opponent defenses.
    • Damage dealers can consider Titan Rage Set to maximize damage after bypassing shields.
  • If you’re facing a Boss that’s hard to burst down:
    • Ensure your tanks (like Ray, Tesla) are wearing Steel Barrier Set or Life Spring Set to last long enough.
    • Your Pastors (like Aria, Scholar) should wear Swift Thunder Set to ensure they heal or shield first.
    • Damage dealers should pick Titan Rage Set or Dawn Break Set based on the Boss’s weakness. If the Boss is vulnerable to specific debuffs (like Burn, Poison), then pair with heroes who apply those debuffs (like Faya, Lothar) and heroes who benefit from them (like Nobel).

With these Relic pairing and progression insights, your power will take a monumental leap! Now, use your World Tree Saplings to craft your ultimate gear!
